Scripture For Today: "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."
You've been praying for your child for years now.
They've made choices that break your loving spirit.
You wonder if your constant prayers are making any difference at all.
Maybe you feel like God isn't listening to your worried mama's voice.
You question if you failed them somehow along the way.
But deep down you know you'll never stop hoping and praying for them.
Saint Monica prayed for her son Augustine for thirty long years.
A wise bishop told her "it is impossible that a son of so many tears should be lost."
Your prayers are heard and treasured in Heaven.
God sees every tear and counts every whispered plea.
Today's Prayer: For My Wandering Child
Jesus, I've been praying for so many years,
Through all my worry, all my fears.
My child seems so far from Your light,
But I won't give up this good fight.
You know their name, You know their face,
Surround them with Your saving grace.
Work in ways I cannot see,
Bring them safely back to Thee.
Give me strength to keep believing,
That my tears are not just grieving.
Amen.
