Psalm 34:18

Some wounds don’t heal overnight. Some memories still ache.

St. Josephine Bakhita’s story is one of pain—but also of healing, hope, and trust in God’s love.

Taken from her home as a child and sold into slavery, she suffered greatly.

But when she found faith, she discovered something stronger than her past—

The love of a God who never left her side.

Her life reminds us: we are not our past.

We are God’s beloved. And His love brings healing in time.

Today's Prayer: Healing in His Hands

Some wounds are deep, some scars remain,

Some days still bring remembered pain.

But You, O Lord, are always near,

You hold each hurt, You catch each tear.

You do not rush, You do not hide,

You stay right here, right by my side.

So piece by piece, day by day,

I trust Your love will make a way.

Amen.
