Light wins over darkness! ✨
Scripture For Today: "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me."
You remember exactly where you were twenty-four years ago today.
The images still make your stomach drop when you see them on the news.
You think about all the people who went to work that morning and never came home.
Maybe you worry about what kind of world you're raising your children in.
You wonder if there's more pain coming and if you can protect the ones you love.
Some days it feels like darkness is winning everywhere you look.
Saints Protus and Hyacinth died during one of Rome's darkest times of persecution.
They chose to die for their faith rather than give up hope in God's goodness.
Evil can destroy buildings but it can never destroy love.
Your faith is stronger than any fear that tries to break you.
Today's Prayer: When Darkness Falls
Jesus, this day brings back the fear and pain,
When evil struck and nothing felt the same.
The towers fell but something greater stood,
The love that chooses hope over what's understood.
Help me teach our children not to hate,
But trust in You no matter what their fate.
When darkness seems to win the day,
Remind us that Your light will stay.
Make us brave like those who gave their lives,
Let love be what in our soul survives.
Amen.
