You woke up early before everyone else.
The house was so quiet you could hear your own breathing.
Maybe you've been thinking about how God is always with you, even in the everyday moments.
It's beautiful when you realize He's not far away.

Today we honor Saint Elizabeth of the Trinity.
She was a Carmelite nun who loved silence and taught people that God lives inside our souls like we are His home.
She said we can find Heaven right inside ourselves if we just stop and listen.
God is already closer than you think.

Lord, sometimes I forget You're so near,
I look everywhere and miss You right here.
You're not in some faraway place,
You live in my heart by Your grace.
Help me remember in busy days,
When I'm rushing through my ways,
That I can find You anytime,
In quiet moments, peaceful and sublime.
Teach me to listen to Your voice,
In stillness help my heart rejoice.
