When mean words cut deep and low,

And young tears begin to flow,

Hold my child in Your sweet care,

Let them feel Your presence there.

Give me words of peace to say,

As we walk this rocky way,

Help my love shine clear and true,

Showing them the heart of You.

Lord who loves each hurting child,

Keep their spirits sweet and mild.
