Prayer Time, Wandering Mind ❤️

Can't focus today? ✨

Scripture For Today: My grace is enough for you. My power works best in weak times.

2 Corinthians 12:9

Your mind jumps from thought to thought during prayer.

The grocery list keeps popping up.

That bill you need to pay.

Maybe you feel bad about your short, messy prayers.

You wonder if God even hears these broken words.

It's hard to feel close to Him with such a busy brain.

We've been there too.

Today we honor Saint Bernardine of Siena.

He taught people to simply say the name "Jesus" when they couldn't find other words to pray.

He knew our minds wander and our words fail.

God hears every scattered thought.

Short prayers count just as much.

Today's Prayer: Wandering Mind

My thoughts jump fast from here to there,

When I sit down to say a prayer.

My lists and worries crowd my mind,

The holy words are hard to find.

Help me see You take each part,

Each broken thought, each pause, each start.

You catch my words like drops of rain,

Nothing I pray is said in vain.

Just my name on Your sweet lips,

Is how Your love my heart grips.

Amen.
