Past Shame, Fresh Start ❤️
Jesus sees who you can become! ✨
Scripture For Today: "As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector's booth. 'Follow me,' he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him."
You think about the person you used to be before you knew better.
The choices you made that still make you cringe inside.
You wonder if people will ever see you as anything more than your mistakes.
Maybe you worry that your past makes you unworthy of good things.
You question if God could really use someone with your history.
But something deep inside whispers that you're different now.
Saint Matthew collected taxes for the Romans and cheated his own people.
Everyone hated him until Jesus walked up and said "Follow me."
Jesus doesn't see your past when He looks at you.
He sees the person you were always meant to be.
Today's Prayer: For New Beginnings
Jesus, You know exactly who I used to be,
The shameful things that no one else can see.
But when You call my name, I hear such love,
Like mercy falling gently from above.
Help me believe what Matthew came to know,
That You can take my past and help me grow.
When others judge me by what I have done,
Remind me that in You, I'm Your loved one.
Make me new from the inside out,
Fill me with hope instead of doubt.
Amen.
🕯️ When Your Past Feels Too Heavy to Carry 🕯️
Light reminds us that darkness doesn't get the final word - just like your story.
Your candle purchase gives a malnourished child vitamin A for a year.
American-made • 50-hour burn time • Heavenly Sea Salt & Orchid
Think of one mistake you keep replaying in your mind.
Now imagine Jesus saying "Follow me" right after that moment.
He called you then, and He's calling you now.
May Saint Matthew's transformation remind you today—
Your worst moments don't write your final story.
Jesus specializes in beautiful new beginnings.
With you in this,
