Palm Sunday comes with both joy and a hint of what waits ahead.
Children wave palms in church.
We sing songs of praise.
Our hearts know Holy Week is here.
Maybe you worry about getting the family to all the special church times this week with so much else going on.
Today we celebrate Palm Sunday, when Jesus rode into Jerusalem while people cheered.
Showing us that even when hard times come, moments of joy still matter.
Your mix of joy and worry is normal.
Jesus sees both in your heart today.
Today's Prayer: Palm Praise
With palms held high in little hands,
As Holy Week now makes its stand,
Help me see Your love so true,
In all the things we say and do.
When life gets full with rush and strain,
When church and home both call my name,
Let me pause and hear You say,
"I am with you all the way."
In our mixed-up, busy hearts,
Your grace gives us a fresh new start.
Amen.
