Scripture For Today: "Do not be afraid, for I am with you."
Everything feels new and scary.
You don't know anyone here yet.
Maybe your family just moved and you miss your old home and your old church family.
You feel so alone in this strange place.
It's really hard.
Today we honor Saint Frances Cabrini.
She was terrified of water because she almost drowned as a child,
But she crossed the ocean over 30 times to help people who moved to America.
She opened 67 schools and hospitals for families who felt lost and alone in a new country.
God knows how scary new places feel.
He's already there waiting for you.
Today's Prayer: In A New Place
Lord, everything here is new to me,
I miss my friends, my church, my family tree.
I don't know where things are or who to trust,
This move feels like it wasn't fair or just.
Help me believe You came here first,
Before I left the place I nursed.
Show me kind faces, help me find my way,
Give me the courage to get through each day.
You know exactly how I feel,
Make this strange place start to feel real.
