New Hobby, Shy Pride ❤️
Trying new things past midlife! ✨
Scripture For Today: "She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs at the days to come."
It's hard to be new at something when you're not young.
Your hands feel clumsy with this craft, but you made something that's yours.
Perhaps you feel silly for taking so much joy in these small steps.
Today, St. Macarius shows us how God takes joy in our growth at any age,
As we reach for new skills and find new parts of who we are.
Your play matters to God.
Joy has no age limit.
Today's Prayer: Fresh Starts
With these hands that try new things,
Feel the joy that learning brings,
I step out with shy, brave heart,
Make my way, a fresh new start.
Bless this time I set aside,
Fill my soul with gentle pride,
Let me see in small skill grown,
How Your gifts in me are shown.
Lord who loves when we try new,
Thank You for this fresh, bright view.
Amen.
