You stare at the sink full of dishes from last night.

The kids are asking for snacks and you haven't even had coffee yet.

Your phone buzzes with more things to do.

Maybe you worry that you're falling behind on everything.

You feel like you're letting everyone down, including yourself.

It's hard when the day feels heavy before it even starts.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel lived on a mountain where people came to pray.

She knows what it's like when life feels too much to handle.

Mary sees your tired heart.

She brings your worries to Jesus.

Today's Prayer: When Morning Feels Hard

Mary, this morning feels too big for me,

So many things I need to be.

My kitchen's messy, my heart is too,

I need some help to make it through.

You know what mothers go through each day,

Show me, Mother, a better way.

Help me find some peace right here,

In this moment, draw me near.

I trust you understand my heart,

Please give me strength to make a start.

Amen.
