Messy Kitchen, Clean Heart ❤️

Simple work becomes holy! ✨

Scripture For Today: "Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

1 Corinthians 10:31

The kitchen sink is full again.

There are dishes from breakfast and lunch waiting for you.

Maybe you feel like all you do is clean up after everyone and nobody even notices.

You wonder if any of this matters.

It does.

Today we honor Saint Martin de Porres.

He swept floors and did laundry at his monastery in Peru even though people looked down on him because of his skin color.

He knew that humble work done with love becomes beautiful to God.

Your ordinary tasks are holy.

God sees the love in every dish you wash.

Today's Prayer: At The Kitchen Sink

Lord, I'm standing at the sink again,

There are dishes waiting without end.

Sometimes this work feels small and plain,

Like nobody sees or knows my pain.

Help me know that humble things

Can be my way of spreading wings.

That washing dishes, sweeping floors,

Can open up the kingdom's doors.

Let me see like Martin saw,

That simple work has no great flaw.

Amen

Look at your hands right now.

Count the things they did today.

God counts them too, and calls them beautiful.

You're doing holy work even when it doesn't feel like it.
