Lighting Hope in Quiet Moments ✨

A real 2-minute prayer for worn-out hearts (St. Eligius!) ❤️

As the first Sunday of Advent begins, we prepare our hearts for waiting and hope, much like carefully hanging the first ornament or lighting the first candle,

Of the season. Today we celebrate St. Eligius, a patron saint of metalworkers who crafted beautiful,

Things with patience and love, reminding us that God works carefully in our lives, shaping us with tender precision.

Today's Prayer: Hope in the Unfinished

My kitchen's cluttered, day's not neat,

But Your love makes my world complete.

Through crumbs and chaos, stress and strain,

I feel Your gentle, healing rain.

When nothing seems to fall in line,

Your grace begins to softly shine.

My imperfect moments, large and small,

Are sacred ground within Your call.

Hold me steady while I wait,

Beyond my worry's heavy weight.

Amen.

Scripture for Today: "Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage." - Psalm 27:14

Sometimes waiting isn't about being perfect. It's about being present - messy kitchen, uncertain moments, and all.

Blessings,
