Scripture For Today: Let us not grow tired of doing good.
Breakfast dishes still in the sink.
Kids arguing over nothing again.
Your head pounds from their yelling.
Maybe you lost your temper already.
Perhaps you hid in the bathroom to cry.
You feel like the worst mom ever.

He waited quietly while others were chosen first, then stepped up when God called him.

Today's Prayer: When I Lose My Patience
Lord, I yelled again today,
Lost my cool in every way.
Now the guilt sits heavy here,
Mixed with anger, mixed with fear.
Help me breathe and start again,
Show me how to count to ten.
Give me grace for all my flaws,
Help me love despite my laws.
Forgive my sharp and angry tone,
Remind me I'm not alone.
Amen.
