Scripture For Today: "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him."
Holy Week begins with Monday still feeling like just Monday.
Work emails wait for answers.
Kids need lunches packed.
Laundry piles don't know it's a holy day.
Maybe you feel bad that your mind is on daily tasks when it should be on holy things this week.
Today is Monday of Holy Week, when we walk with Jesus through his final days.
Remembering that he too lived in the mix of the sacred and the daily.
Your Monday work can be a prayer too.
God meets you in both laundry and church.
Today's Prayer: Holy Ordinary
As this sacred week begins,
While my day feels just the same,
Help me see You in the mix,
Of the holy and the plain.
In each task my hands must do,
In each call I must make too,
Let me feel Your presence near,
Make the common sacred here.
The most holy of all weeks,
Meets me where my life still speaks.
