Scripture For Today: I was in prison and you came to visit me.

Matthew 25:36

Someone at work is really hard to like.

They're mean to everyone.

You feel God nudging you to be kind.

Maybe others avoid them completely.

Perhaps you wonder if it's worth the effort.

But something in your heart says try.

It's scary when God asks you to love the unlovable.

Today we honor Saint Joseph Cafasso.

He was called the "Priest of the Gallows" because he visited prisoners no one else would see.

He believed everyone deserved love before they died.

The hardest people often need love most.

God sees hearts others can't.

Today's Prayer: Love the Difficult

Lord, this person is so hard to love,

But You see something I'm thinking of.

Help me be kind when they are mean,

Show me the hurt they keep unseen.

Give me Joseph's gentle heart,

To play my loving part.

When others turn and walk away,

Help me find the words to say.

Use my small acts of care,

To show them someone's always there.

Amen.
