God's treasures are everywhere! ✨
Scripture For Today: "Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it."
You notice the woman counting change at the checkout line.
The man in the wheelchair waits patiently while others rush past.
A teenager with sad eyes bags your groceries with careful hands.
Maybe you wonder what stories these strangers carry in their souls.
You think about how easy it is to look right through people.
Every person around you has dreams and fears just like you do.
Saint Lawrence was asked to show the Roman Emperor the treasures of the Church.
Instead of gold and silver, he brought the poor and said "These are our treasures."
God sees precious jewels where the world sees ordinary people.
Every person you meet carries divine worth.
Today's Prayer: For Eyes That See Treasures
Jesus, help me see what You can see,
In every person next to me.
The checkout girl, the man who's slow,
Each one has treasures You want me to know.
Open my eyes to recognize,
The holy light behind their eyes.
Let me treat each soul I meet,
As precious gold beneath Your feet.
Teach me to love without condition,
To see each person's sacred mission.
Amen.
