You threw away the junk food yesterday.

Bought fresh fruit instead.

Small change, but it felt big.

Maybe you're tired of feeling sluggish all the time.

Perhaps you wonder if you can really stick with it this time.

You want to take better care of yourself.

It's hard when old habits feel so comfortable.

Today we honor Saint Francis Caracciolo.

He helped reform his religious community when things had gotten sloppy and needed change.

He started small but made lasting improvements.

Every fresh start matters to God.

Small changes can transform everything.

Today's Prayer: New Beginning

Help me make the changes, Lord,

That I've been putting off so long.

Give me strength to start today,

And wisdom to choose right from wrong.

When old habits call me back,

And I want to quit this track,

Remind me why I chose to try,

Keep my hopes and spirits high.

Bless each step I take today,

Guide me down this better way.

Amen.
