You dream about a place where you can just be alone with your thoughts.
Maybe you feel guilty for wanting time away from all the people you love.
You wonder if God would meet you in a hidden place where nobody else could find you.
Your soul longs for a secret sanctuary where you can breathe deeply again.
Saint Giles left his home in Greece to live alone in a forest cave.
His only companion was a gentle deer who brought him comfort and peace.
God made you to need quiet time with Him.
Seeking solitude isn't selfish - it's sacred.
Today's Prayer: For My Secret Place
Jesus, I need a place where I can hide,
Away from all the noise and busy stride.
My heart is calling for some quiet space,
Where I can meet You in this holy place.
Help me find moments just to be still,
Even when life is loud against my will.
Let me remember You are always near,
In every quiet breath, in every tear.
Give me permission to step away,
And find You in the silence where I pray.
