Now, let’s turn our hearts to God.
Scripture For Today: "Jesus said to them, 'Come and have breakfast.'"
God meets us not just in church, but right in the midst of our daily work.
The nets thrown into the water.
The fish that fill the boat.
The meal shared on the shore.
Maybe you worry that busy work days pull you from time with God and prayer.
Today we mark the Third Sunday of Easter, when Jesus met his friends while they were fishing.
He showed that he comes to find us right where we are, even in our most basic tasks.
Your daily work can be holy ground.
Jesus meets you at your nets too.
Today's Prayer: Work and Worship
In the boats where we each day toil,
And our hands get rough and soiled,
Help us see Your face so clear,
Know that You are always near.
Just like friends who fished all night,
We need Your love to set things right,
Show us that in tasks so plain,
You still call us by our name.
Daily work, when done with care,
Becomes its own kind of prayer.
Amen.

May this Easter season remind you today—
Jesus comes to your work shore too.
He calls you by name in daily tasks.
When you feel too busy to pray or too tired to read your Bible,
Remember that Jesus met his friends at work.
He still finds us in our kitchens, offices, and carpools just as surely as he found them by the sea.
Blessings,
Two Minute Prayers Team
