Scripture For Today: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future."

Jeremiah 29:11

The door you wanted to walk through slammed shut in your face.

The job didn't work out, the house fell through, or the relationship ended.

You wonder why God let you get your hopes up just to have them crushed.

Maybe you feel like you're starting all over again when you thought you had it figured out.

You question whether you heard God's voice wrong or if you're on the right path.

Sometimes the biggest disappointments lead to the most beautiful surprises.

Saint Teresa wanted to become a Poor Clare nun but was rejected by the convent.

Instead, she founded a whole new order that cared for thousands of abandoned elderly people.

God's closed doors always lead to better open windows.

What looks like failure is often the setup for something amazing.

Today's Prayer: When Plans Fall Apart

Jesus, I thought I knew exactly what You wanted for me,

But now I'm lost and I can barely see.

The door I wanted is locked up tight,

Help me trust You'll make everything right.

Show me the window You're opening instead,

Give me peace about the path ahead.

Turn my broken plans into something new,

Something better than I ever knew.

I believe Your way is always best,

Even when my dreams don't pass the test.

Amen.

Think of one door that closed in your life.

Look for the good things that came after.

God was working even when you couldn't see it.

May Saint Teresa's beautiful redirection remind you today—

Your disappointments are God's appointments.

The best chapters of your story are still being written.

Walking alongside you,

The Two Minute Prayers Team
