Scripture For Today: "You are God's temple and God's Spirit lives in you."
You sat in the church pew and cried today.
You felt embarrassed but couldn't hold it back.
Maybe you're struggling with feeling worthy to even be there after everything you've been through.
You wonder if God still wants you in His house.
He does.
Today we celebrate the Dedication of Saint John Lateran.
This church in Rome is called the mother of all churches because it was the first official place where Christians could worship freely.
It reminds us that God wants a home for His people.
You belong in God's house.
Church isn't just for perfect people.
Today's Prayer: In The Pew
Lord, I sat down in Your house today,
I didn't have the words to pray.
The tears just came, I felt so small,
I wondered if You'd hear at all.
But then I felt Your presence near,
You whispered softly in my ear.
"This is your home, you're welcome here,
I love you child, don't be in fear."
Help me remember church is where
Broken hearts can come for care.
Amen
