Your alarm goes off before the sun comes up.

You put on your work clothes and head out into another long day.

Your body is tired but your family needs what you bring home.

Maybe you wonder if anyone notices how hard you work every single day.

You think about people with easier jobs and wish things were different.

Your hands are rough and your back aches, but you keep showing up.

Saint Rose of Lima worked in her garden every day to help feed her family.

She grew vegetables and flowers while caring for the sick and poor in her home.

Your daily labor is holy work in God's eyes.

Every honest job serves His kingdom in some way.

Today's Prayer: For Those Who Work Hard

Jesus, I wake up tired but I get up anyway,

Because my family needs me every day.

My hands are rough, my body's getting worn,

But I keep working from night until morn.

Help me see my work the way You do,

As sacred service that I offer You.

Bless the labor of my willing hands,

And help me know that You understand.

Give me strength for each task ahead,

And peace when I lay down my head.

Amen.

Feel how vast it is above you.
